Thanks to my housemate who wake up at 7 something to have breakfast and my friend , Alvin walking a distance in such cold weather .. Specially thanks to the chef ( hannia )who make pancake for everyone .

Thanks to bryan , my coursemate who belanja me my lunch ...

Finally thanks to my aunty and her family who spend time eating dinner with me . And thanks for preparing chicken rice ... and fetching me to the airport

what come next after week 13 ?

week 13 , time really fly ....

the first day stepping down to perth . and now is already week 13 , and i finish my first semester.
yesterday exam was interesting because I manage to do it right and save it *programming* which I worried that I couldn't function it. But it went well .... no more heart attack scene anymore.

so what's next after week 13 ... since I got a month of holiday ...
Since I am not going back to Malaysia .... " sorry guys "
I am planning to tour round Australia .
3 destination in 1 month ...
- Adelaide ( South Australia)
- Melbourne ( Victoria )
- Brisbane & Gold Coast ( Queensland )

what are the plans ?
probably till now I still have no fixed plans yet . But I am sure meeting up all my siblings and my friends in australia , expect for the guy who lived in tasmania ... ( Cyang , sorry dude .... )

just that single day in a few months , is just call a bad luck day ...

You found out yourself getting the worst results , or seeing your idol losing to the other fella , and finding out you really screw up your test paper when you know how to do , or probably not enough practice.

That's my day ....

Weather in perth ... after such a long time ... the whole day is raining ... just miss those weather ...
gloomy ... and chilling ..

"yam cha"

My sister idea of having yam cha session in some dim sum restoran.

What is so unique of having a "typical" dim sum restoran in Northbridge , Perth.Probably you be wondering why i had to post it up .

First , when i step in . I see white people more than asian in a DIMSUM restoran.shock sikit.
Second, those waiter or waitress trying to speak English in a DIMSUM restoran. I miss those canton speakers , Char Siew Bao yat kor = BBQ pork bun, one.
Thrid, not only chinese tea is serve. Coke , diet coke , ice lemon tea is served. So not used to that.
Fourth , they have the pushing tray with those steamer and plate . theyalso have those watermelon juice being on the tray. The waiter would go like , "watermelon juice ?" and nobody purchase it.

Weird thing could happen anywhere ... Just being cultural shock.
Miss those old day in Dim Sum shop . Nothing is the same like back then.

Meet the quokka

6 am i had to wake up which is something i did not do for quite a long time.Me ,my eldest sister and my brother in law hop up in the cab because is too far to walk ... get to the train station which is right in the middle of Perth city . Go a train to frementale which head south. Today , our main destination was to Rottnest Island. Probably wondering who on earth would name such name to that island , and why I had to get there when i have to sit a ferry which probably 30 minute journey there.

Firstly , the Dutch explorer discover the island in 1696, and he mistaken some creature as giant rats. So this explorer name this island "Rottnest" which mean rat's nest. Intresting eh ....

G'day mate , welcome to my island . I am ready to take picture. CHEESE!

Quokka , a size of a baby kangaroo.

Quokka ... the so call "giant rat" and probably they hop like kangoroo. Size about a small kangaroo. Quite tame . Quokka can be found all around the island .

My main aim was going snorkelling to see sea creatures. Swimming also is something I din't do for quite a long time ....

Sorry for picture having circle , because is not waterproof camera. So this gear provide a beauty circle to "protect" the camera.

Moments of nature in the beach...

Swimming against the rough wave , nearlly drown in order to fix my gear , stupid flip which not even helps , drink free salt water ,freaking cold, and swimming with the wave till I realised I was at the other part of no where . I thought i reached because i see sandy beach ... Haha .. all bad comments . Don't worry . there is always good comment .
The fishes are friendly .. Errr, that's so fake !
OK, i saw alot fish even salmon fish . All i knew i see school of fish , coral , seaweed and thinking which fish would be best to be brought up to shore to cook if i ever can catch it. And the best thing is seeing jelly fish which actually can do harm .

Walk around the whole island , meeting cute quokka on the way. And there is one sign say not to feed quokka because will cause sickness. But too bad , i saw the sign after i feed the poor thing. Don't worry animal lovers out there , I gave them some good food which probably make them satisfy their tummy for a week .

took the 4 pm ferry back to the fremantale port.thats the end of our day. Dead tired , slept in the train ...

This post should be posted up on Saturday (2nd May 2009) , however I was freaking tired and I had some freaking article to read up for group discussion and reports.

The deepest hole

Speech starts with the small introduction , the body part and the conclusion.
But who knows , my day was Terrible and Horrible when i was doing my programming test for the last 10 minutes. All i knew i did some small error which turn my "test" into the worst nightmare. All i know the retard computer with slow enough to toture me . The whole moment started to slow down where i cannot even save the bloody project which is worth about 20% of my whole unit. "dun play play"
All i knew , my friend on the left was looking worried for me ... and my right was this friend of mine been puzzling how to edit his code . My heart started beating so fast ...
imagine an essay about 800 words or more , and the time shows like you left 10 minute. And that right moment , your whole essay got destroy by the water , which is either redo or 0. What a horrifying experince.
But well , nothing always turn out bad all the time. My lecterur came , and did some trick to show me is still in place but probably I will lose couple of mark ...
After the test finish , all I knew I could hardly eat or talk to anyone. Try dropping your heart from 15th floor and get to G floor to pick your heart back ....

Something I will never miss out !

Being a typical asian , hardly can live without rice
But being Me , hardly can live without chicken rice!

So where ever you go , there is always a chinatown in every country.(exclude malaysia and china)

Before i reach Perth , i recieved "news" that there is a famous chicken rice shop near my university area. Is so famous that my travel agent , relatives and friends mentioned about. I always wonder how good it is.
** if u read the on the article sumwhere , i mentioned that i olwis wanted to find the best chicken rice in the town .
So I did it ! After a month being in Perth around one month plus , I finally decide to go to chicken rice shop which is in Kalawara. The first time I had abit hard time finding the place , but I found it inside a Shopping mall , one of the restoran. The restoran "Chilliz" open by singaporean .*hope info is correct*

There is so many variety there , lunch boxes pilling up ...from steam chicken , honey chicken , spicy n hot chicken , beef curry , spring roll and many many more ..And the good news , is CHEAP and relatively reasonable amount provided.
is only 4.20 aussie dolar for those lunch box , and probably side dishes like 1 aussie dolar.
wait till is 12 pm , the queue gets even longer ....

A combination of fork and spoon = SPORK

Chicken rice. steam chicken edition

Alright , after tasting a few variety. I still prefer steam chicken. Don't ask me why , just my taste.

Personnal comment on the chicken rice :
Average only , but reach a certain expectation since is in Perth. What do you expect. I hope this comment wont offend anyone. Chicken rice should have cucumber on it , then will be slighty better. Rating of probably 6.0 , which is tasting around Asia Cafe, but the amount is satisfying. So overall , rating of 8.0 . Overall rating is based on price,variety,amount,taste and service.

I am starting to get addicted to it , EVERY TUESDAY A MUST GO PLACE.

Easter Break

Easter break …
Is all about that exact 7 days + the weekends …
I had been looking forward for many reasons and the semester break finally came.
On “Good Friday” , for not being a Christian , and I did not plan to go to the church ..
But I woke up very early , like 9 pm … Quite unusual timing for holiday , but I had plans.

Quickly catch the bus , and is empty !

then catch the train which is pack like sandwich ..
Took some interesting picture around the city , then reached my friend’s hotel to pick her up .

One interesting fact , I brought her to Curtin and all we did most our time is not visit the university campus , rather using the computer lab for like quite some time.

Brought her and her dad to look at my hostel , and I knew I did something so wrong which happen to be my housemate laptop *not to be mention *.
I was so happy to see my good buddy in Perth , even I didn’t spend much time brining her around.

She ask me lots of question about Perth , but mostly I couldn’t answer , I felt I am so NOOB.
Later on , I sat a long journey to my Aunty place in Edgewater .
The real holiday begins , wait a minute . If my aunt is there, how can it be holiday ?! Just kidding
Achievement during the whole week ,
Learning to play Dragon and Dungeon (was freaking hard) , all I know is throw the dice .
Finish watching series , etc Chuck , Death Note and some movies
Eat good food , like roasted pork … reminds me of back in Malaysia
Receiving a bunny chocolate for Easter
Thanks to my Aunty ; Me and my cousins have one each.

Last but not least , did my ABC and 123 (means study lah~ )

Not just any nights in 365 days in the calendar
Is THE Saturday night out in the Perth city, heading to Northbridge ….
It all started from a night where my housemate (NiNi) who invited all of us to clubbing, and that’s it !
12 am. I am right in front of the club(Metro), lining up the long queue just to get into the club…
Is just pretty darn windy out there, probably those girls just doesn’t feel any cold …
Myth, Legend, Tales, Rumors ….
Everyone giving an impression that the “ang mo” club would be better than back home because there is more white chicks and more pretty girls… and more happening?

silent night in Perth

Perth ...

it all started a distance walk to my friend house to grab some important documents.
It was pretty dark because there were hardly any street light, and it’s my first time walking around my accommodation area. People around the area tend to warn everyone how unsafe the area was. However, my concept change ...
The place (Bentley) where I am staying was very nice during the night time, as in the sky was full of stars and the moon is bright like some honeycomb ...and it was nice because the place able to let you relax and there is no car sound and etc...
the weather is also quite fine tonight, slightly windy. But I brought my wind breaker.
So is a nice walk during the night, you never can get this kind of good walk back home.
